There is so much buzz in the world of dieting about what is better for you: Carbohydrates, Protein or Fat. In this series of videos, I would like to educate you about the science behind these macronutrients. Obtaining this perspective, although a little bit dry, will go a long way to understanding the pros and cons of each macronutrient and why our body needs to digest all three of them!
This first video gives a broad overview of the three macronutrients we derive calories from. Many people consider water and fiber as macronutrients as well but they do not provide us with calories so I have omitted them from our discussion for now.
